After-school Activities

After-school Clubs

After school activities vary each year and are held from 4:00 to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday, as well as up to 6:00pm on a Wednesday.

We offer activities which will appeal to students and parents alike. These activities are also open to pupils of other schools.

MIS Le Vesinet is currently offering a Hockey club, a Painting and Drawing class, a Drama group, a Yoga club, and an Architecture club. Other after-school activities include Baking, Story-telling, Introduction to Music, Sewing&Knitting and Homework.

The school offers a preschool child-care from 8:20 to 8:50am every morning.

Music Discovery

Opening up children’s awareness to musical elements such as pitch, rhythm and tempo through a variety of activities, including singing songs, playing instruments and listening and responding

STEM Club

The students focus on hands-on investigations and challenges in the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Students will develop their independent problem solving through active exploration. This club will help students to expand their knowledge as well as improve communications skills and team collaboration.

Storytelling

Les élèves aborderont tous les aspects importants pout pour faire vivre une histoire et pouvoir la restituer avec ses propres mots en français. Comprendre le début d’une histoire et en imaginer la suite ; acquérir du vocabulaire ; apprendre à raconter et mettre en scène une histoire ; créer le décor et la maquette ; faire jouer les personnages.

Painting/Drawing

Les élèves exprimeront leur créativité en apprenant à se servir de la peinture aquarelle. Travail sur la couleur et les formes, autour de différents thèmes

Yoga Club

Introducing children to yoga from an early age enables them to start building a foundation of skills and tools for life-long well being in a caring and non-competitive environment. It provides them with a healthy head start in life in our increasingly fast-paced and stressful world.

Hockey Club

Come learn how to play uni-hockey and develop your team playing skills. Unihockey is a team game played with plastic sticks, shorter than in field hockey, and with a plastic, very light ball or a puck. Contrary to ice hockey, you’re not meant to conquer the ball through physical contact, but you’ll have to use speed, skills and teamwork.

Drama Club

Pre-primary and Key Stage 1
Imaginative exploration of age appropriate themes in a fun way using the drama lens and techniques such as miming and role play.
Key Stage 2 (7-11 year olds)
Performance and acting workshops incorporating a variety of skills such as role play, improvisation, singing and voice control and techniques such as the ‘Tableau’ (still image) method.

Baking Club

The children will prepare different recipes each week, both sweet and savory! The children will learn how to prepare a variety of recipes, going from preparing the necessary ingredients, weighing and measuring quantities, and step by step execution of baking instructions.
