Field Trips

DAY TRIPS

The cultural offerings of Paris and its surroundings are appropriately incorporated, throughout the year, to enrich our students’ learning experience.

Our pre-primary students usually participate in three field trips during the year, linked with their theme of the year. Past trips have included visiting the local fire station,  the nearby Ferme de Gally, the Cité des Sciences, and the Musée des Jouets.

Our primary students participate in several cultural outings during the year, both with their English and French teachers. Students generally attend at least one theater performance at the Le Vésinet Theater. Past trips have included a visit to the Musée Maurice Denis with an art workshop, a visit to the Château de Monte-Cristo to learn about Alexandre Dumas, the Louvre museum or the archeology museum in Saint Germain en Laye.

RESIDENTIAL TRIPS

Each year, our Key Stage One pupils go on a two day/one night residential trip to a nearby leisure resort or educational farm.

Our Key Stage Two and Three ( Year 3-8) pupils go on a five day end of year trip. The Key Stage 2 trip is organized at a different location each year.

Examples of recent trips are:

  • A week at Parc Branféré, an animal park in Brittany where students learnt about animals and focused on different conservation and environmental issues.;
  • a Space Camp in Belgium where the students participated in an astronaut training program;
  • a sport and culture based trip to the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland;
  • a week of adventure and sailing activities on the Isle of Wight;
  • a mountain trip to the Alps with a wide range of sports activities including rafting, mountain biking, orienteering and climbing.
