Malherbe International school playground and building

Malherbe International School was founded in 1990 as a private co-educational day school to serve the needs of the international communities west of Paris.

MIS is located in the Yvelines (78) region, easily accessible by public transportation.

The school offers a rich cultural environment with approximately 160 students and over 25 nationalities. We welcome children between 2 and 14 years old. They attain high standards of performance within a family-like nurturing environment.

During the past 30 years our ability to combine both French and English teaching techniques has enabled our pupils to move on to further education worldwide and adapt successfully.

Nursery and Preschool  classes (ages 2-5)

Our pre-primary classes are Montessori based and children are accepted at 2 years of age. Classes are taught in English, with optional French lessons during the school day for our 3 and 4 year olds.

Primary classes (ages 5-11)

Our Primary classes, at the Le Vesinet location, offer an ideal setting for high educational achievement with our small class sizes and individualized teaching. The educational program is based on the English National curriculum. French is taught as an integral part of our academic program from 5 years of age. There are two half days of classes from dedicated French teachers.

Middle School classes (ages 11-14)

Our Middle School is located just next to the Le Vesinet primary school building, offering an individualized teaching approach within a fully bilingual program (30% French, 70% English). The educational program is based on the English National Curriculum, with a strong foundation in French humanities (Language, Literature and History/Geography) to a national curriculum level.

Spanish section

Since the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year, we offer a Spanish section for Spanish speaking children from 3 to 5 years. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 9am to 4pm, and are open to both students of MIS and students of other schools.
