Admission Procedure

Admissions are now open for the 2024-2025 school year!

Admissions for the 2024-2025 school year opened on January 8th, 2024. We are still accepting applications in all of our classes at the moment.

We are still accepting mid-year admissions for the 2023-2024 school year in some classes.

An initial assessment in English and Maths may be requested for students entering at the primary level.

Please contact the principal for more information on admissions.

We accept students from 2 years old until Year 6 (grade 5; CM2).

The school year runs from early September to early July.

Malherbe International School has an open admissions policy and accepts applications throughout the academic year. We look forward to meeting future students and their families.

We will request previous school records for primary students, as well as a letter of recommendation from the current class teacher; admission will be subject to evaluation of the student’s level. For admission into one of our pre-primary classes, we do not require a formal evaluation of the child’s English level, although an interview with the Principal is recommended in order to discuss each individual case.

Wednesday Pogram

Wednesday program admissions will take place from March 1st to April 5th.

Our small class size enables the school to accommodate many educational backgrounds and can be tailored in some circumstances to give extra support if necessary. This also includes varying academic levels.

Decisions about the admission of children with special educational needs are taken by the Principal based on the extent to which the school is able to meet the student’s needs. Individual assessments are required for these students and often the school will request a recent Educational Psychologist’s report to ensure that the school can meet the student’s needs.
