Earth Day 2025 at MIS – Protecting our planet!

Earth day recycling 2

We celebrated Earth Day At Malherbe International School on March 21st with the coming of Spring time!

The day was packed with educational and active endeavors to raise the students’ awareness about our environement and think of ways in which we can all help to protect our planet.

In the morning, the students rotated around different workshops with the school’s primary and pre-primary teachers:

Saving our Seas with Miss Patricia
Learning about the Ozone layer with Mr Donohue
Making bird feeders with Mr Mark
Recycle, Reduce and Reuse with Mrs Finney
Renewable vs non renewable energy with Ms Snape

How to sort our waste and place it in the right trash container with Miss Anne-Cecile
Recycled art exhibition by all the classes

Throughout the day, the primary classes went out to clean up the local parks and all of the students tended to our garden, preparing the soil and planting new seeds with Mr Holland, our outdoor learning specialist to make the most of the beginning of Spring!

The day was ended with a giant quiz to see what we had retained as well as an art exhibition with art made from recycled materials only.
